TOO CUTE??

This is the stroller that I think I want... after much research. I won't go into details about the why's etc (but its very similar to Bob Revolution which everyone raves about. Its a tiny bit more compact and in my opinion just a tad bit more stylish).

When you research stroller companies you occasionally stumble across the owners of the company doing their own promos. I was shocked to find 30 something, handsome men as CEO's of stroller companies. It strikes me as so funny but I kinda love it.

Not to be outdone, Bumbleride owners (Bumbleride is the brand I like) are TOOO cute. It's almost screaming: "if you buy our strollers you will be as cute of a family as we are"... but seriously, its a great stroller...I'm not just trying to look like them :-)

The wife, Emily, used to be a model... um hello- obviously!! Too cute. She just popped out another one too. They live and work out of San Diego. Just all around cute. And hey, I love the stroller!!!

We've Moved... no, it's not a joke!

<----my favorite part...the kitchen!!

Since being married for 3 yrs we have moved 4 times. We'd like to slow that pace down a bit... but of course we said that last time too!
8 months ago when we moved to our place in Pasadena life was a bit different. I was working at Huntington Hospital and we didn't have a baby on the way. Sure, we planned on having a baby within the next year or so but until its actually happening you don't think of anything except the number of bedrooms.
During the past few months we realized that while we had enough bedrooms for baby Ellery (and even 1 more if needed) things weren't perfect. Mostly, we began to realize that while Adam's commute was tolerable for us 2 young spring chickens who wanted to live wherever we wanted, it wouldn't be a great lifestyle with a baby. Also, ideally we wanted to have a lower cost of living to allow for some wiggle room for me to be a stay at home mom (with some home health work... but that will mostly be for extra cash).
All those things lead us to the decision to move to Rancho Cucamonga... but we had to move fast. Our lease was up in October which was a bad time to move.. so we had to move early. It took some orchestrating but it all turned out great and we are now settled in to our new place!!!

We love it so far... kind of surprised actually! The townhome is my favorite place yet (and cheapest yet!... okay except for our first apartment on Pleasant Street, but we've come a long way). The surrounding area has every store you can imagine and the shopping centers are very pretty. And you just can't beat having more hours and energy at the end of the work day.

WE FEEL BLESSED.

oh baby!!

Oahu, HI .... 20 wks
(out to celebrate our 3 yr wedding anniversary!)

Well I am posting this at 24 (almost 25 weeks) so the belly has made some improvement since then. But thought I'd catch up!!

At 20 wks Ellery is the size of a banana approximately.

ANNNNND She's BACK :-)

( THIS PICTURE CRACKS ME UP!!!)

Sorry I went through a funk with blogging... wasn't sure if there was really any point to it. Sometimes I see these incredible blogs and realize how FAR I am from having one of those.
Now (especially with a baby on the way) I think its a nice way to journal and get out thoughts or interesting things in life!!! Maybe I'll get better as we go along. SOO hopefully I stay inspired and keep it up!
Oh, and I also just got a new phone and can blog from it!! But honestly, I just sat right back down at the old computer bc it is faster. . . but you NEVER know when I'll be inspired to write :-)

Gaining Weight

Its a very rare occasion when you don't have to cringe as the scale creeps up. Pregnancy is one of them (although sometimes I cringe anyways). Above you can see our little GIRL (at least that's what the Ultrasound says!!). She is beautiful and has good lookin' thighs. I am 16 weeks today and she is about the size of an avocado. {LOVE}

4 months...

i met a woman today ( a patient of mine) who was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) 4 months ago today. devastating. she is my mom's age and also has an 11 year old daughter. it is shocking to me how the disease has progressed in just 4 months. it made me especially grateful for the health of my family and made me pray for it to continue. very sobering.

if you don't know what ALS is... i think it is one of those diseases that are on your "anything but that" list....pure hell on earth. the nerve cells that control muscle function slowly die...meaning a progressive loss of muscle function over time (life expectancy is about 2-3 yrs). you eventually can lose the ability to swallow and finally, breathe. as all of this happens your mind remains completely intact and aware of what is happening to you. pure torture.

i am filled with devastation for her and her family, and gratitude for my blessings all at the same time.
