I should be doing some more housework before working tonight...but all of the sudden I got really excited (Well, I shouldn't say 'all of the sudden' bc I've been quite excited for awhile now). May 21st we leave for Maui, Hawaii...Can you tell I'm really looking forward to it? I'm so glad its in May bc I don't have to wait too long. Sometimes the spring can drag on and you don't get a vacation until middle summer...but now I get to jumpstart the summer with a wonderful week vacation on this amazing island :-) We are going with my In laws (mom dad bro sis) and it should be great fun (as it usually is when we all get together). I've been to Maui once and to other hawaiian islands another time but while I was in Maui I got quite sick so that did put a bit of a damper on the trip (although I did have a great time!). Have any of you been there recently and have any recommendations of tours, activities, great snorkel beaches etc??? We're flexible.

Its the FINAL COUNTDOWN!!!

Alida and I didn't make it over to Maui but you simply must eat at a shrimp truck. Our best meal when we were in HI was from a little catering truck not far from the North Shore in Oahu.
ReplyDeleteAmes, you guys should try and find a Maui Tacos...I was like 14 when I ate there but my dad, sister, brother, and I all remember it as some of the best Mexican food we've ever had = )
ReplyDeleteAlso, if you want a fun day at a great hotel pool with lots of slides and pools and fun...The Grand Wailea is a spectacular hotel and I think you can pay for a day at their pools! The road to Hana is a beautiful Jeep ride, the Old Lahaina Luau was really great when we went and I will ask my girlfriend from Hawaii what the good beaches are and good snorkel spots.
